ABOUT
ABOUT
Garrett Chace is a transdisciplinary visual artist, photographer, and designer based in Dallas, TX. He received his MFA in Creative Practice from The University of Texas at Dallas and currently serves as the Creative Director for University Development at his alma mater. Much of Garrett’s photography work has been inspired by life in the American West. Shooting primarily on 35mm film, he prefers the use of analog processes over digital technologies. His design work channels traditional Swiss design with a modern, bold twist.
Garrett’s work has been showcased around the globe, from his first solo exhibition in Palm Springs, CA (2011), to Paris, France (2014), New York City, NY (2017), Toronto, Canada (2019), and more. He is the recipient of multiple visual arts awards, including BEST USE OF MIXED MEDIA at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. In 2016, D MAGAZINE named Garrett as ONE OF THE TOP FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHERS UNDER 25 IN THE SOUTHWEST REGION.
"Heavily inspired by the open road, much of my work is strictly meant to document what is and what has been left behind. My intentions are never to shape a concrete statement, but instead leave the interpretation of each visual up to the mercy of the imaginative beholder." — Garrett Chace
